Raahgiri Day in Delhi: 2nd edition


Delhiites came out in greater numbers this Raahgiri Day to enjoy cycling, skating, zumba and football matches at CP. The second edition of Raahgiri Day saw a bigger turnout and a host of new activities to bring Delhiiites out and embrace the streets.



Apart from the music and dancing, the TOI-backed initiative, in partnership with the Delhi Police, the NDMC and Embarq India, saw many skating groups from across Delhi taking part in the event. Children from various schools across Delhi-NCR were excited to skate in CP .

Not only the skaters, but the cycling groups too were quite excited to be a part of the Raahgiri Day . The PedalYatri Group, which is a regular at Gurgaon's Raahgiri, decided to come to the capital this time and even clicked a selfie with and even clicked a selfie with Meenakshi Lekhi, MP from the New Delhi constituency .



People were excited to be a part of zumba sessions at the Reebok stage and were happily dancing to Baby Doll and Aaj Blue Hai Paani. This week also saw a signature campaign being started where people thanked the organisers for helping them see a CP without any traffic mess.



There was a competitive spirit all around, as teams, comprising two players each, played out each other with the two best teams getting to play in the finals.
